LOL :) I think it was you and @justasking who pointed that out to me in a thread a few months back :) I was whining about my small size....snd you both reminded me I'll never happy for it when I'm old :) so I'm gonna run with that ;)
Their houses smell like food. Ham or borscht soup.
They have Candy dishes on their coffee tables with mint candies.
They watched All My Children and other soap operas and game shows.
They have spoon racks, frilly curtains, ornaments, China cabinets, sewing machines and boring calendars hanging up. They wear suspenders, smoke pipes have a little dog that they cook the ham for and they drive really slow and they are nice. I love older people. : )
Haha :) I forgot about china cabinets and cedar chests!!! I used to love go through my gramma china cabinet play with salt and pepper shakers in it an de look through her cedar chest :) i still have her cedar chest but my sister got the china cabinet. I should have got both but that is fine:/
Cool, my grandma had an old exercise bike and a laundry room with a make up mirror and I would go downstairs and they had a cellar with a bunch of pickled stuff and some old books and pictures on the wall. I had another grandma who used to roll her own cigarettes and she had apple trees, rhubarb, raspberry bushes and strawberrys outside. They passed away a long time ago, but I inherited some of their property so my son and I still go pick apples from her tree all these years later. Great question, I love all these memories. : )
I enjoyed your answer :) all of it ... I just got excited about the China cabinet part! The all my children made me laugh :) glad brought you back some memories as well :)
