If everyday I let you walk into my home and raid my refrigerator to feed yourself am I suddenly wrong when I start locking the door?

How about if every day you let me walk into your home and I am putting more and better quality food in your refrigerator than you've ever had before?

How about if every day you let me walk into your home and I am raiding your refrigerator by removing rancid food, a vital job that no one in your home would ever do?

How about if at one time your home did not belong to you but you were graciously given the chance to make it your own so you were able to do what I'm now doing?

    Ever done that?

What did you want/expect in return? (There's always quid pro quo, ALWAYS.)

To become a part of that home so I can contribute even more meaningfully and reap the rewards of my hard work, just as those who came before me.

No, you can't do that because that "privilege" of being allowed to raid your fridge has now become an "entitlement".

This brings to mind the funny antics that went on between  Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando:

"Another frequent visitor was his next-door neighbour Brando, who would raid the fridge when Nicholson was out, having padlocked his own as part of his latest starvation diet. Even as a young man, the great mumbler’s eating habits were legendary. "

It is my thought that a nice picnic basket accompanied by a letter regarding your sudden change of heart might be nice before absolutely locking me out.
