Could somebody please explain in very simple terms how it's possible to exercise free speech without attacking someone?

Please use very small words and be concise. I plan to save this link and send it to people who can't seem to comprehend that it's possible in the future.  :)

I just know that when I have the pleasure of observing someone with this skill, I have enormous respect for them.  Intelligent, level headed people can debate a topic without ever making it personal.

I agree with the one poster here that said once you take the word "you" out of the conversation (and turn it into "I"), the tone is a lot different.

Hahaha.  I confess to writing and then deleting more than you know.  There are days I have to just shut the lid down on the laptop and get busy with yard work.
