Why isn't a lie a lie no matter who tells it? Why does it make a difference if it is the police/FBI who lie or civilians? Why is ever OK?

Sir Norman Bessinton lied about his involvement with the deaths of 97 Hillsbourgh Liverpool football supporters 30 years ago.......he's going to be prosecuted now along with the hundred other menial police officers he forced to change their statements who then committed perjury for him.......

it it will be another 30 years before our  wonderful judiciary system find the time to think about prosecuting him and most likely he'll then be dead.......

the he police and judiciary never ever prosecute their own......it's a recuring perk I think Rosie....

Hi there NJ!  That is shatteringly shocking m'dear. I wouldn't believe it if it were a work of fiction. I'd say "that is preposterous! That could never be pulled off in real life". Yet here it is. Real life up close and personal. 30 years ago you say? How in the heck could it take so long? I'd have thought it was a cold case decades ago. Another 30 years to prosecute. I still can't believe it but I don't doubt you for a moment m'dear. Here's something sobering which I'm sure you've thought of too. How many more cases like this are there, were there, will there be where such injustice happens? Perhaps it is kinder to us that we shall never know. Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply. I'm stunned. I can only imagine what the loved  ones of those 97 dead folks went through and if any of the loved ones are still living what they are now going through. I guess people are the same all over. Not comforting.  Happy Tuesday m'dear!  :)

The case about him has just recently been in the news again Rosie.....ljust type in his name on the Internet and you can read all about him.......

those that lost their family members, young children, spouses, friends were branded liars by the police .......

the police also protected known peadophilles Sir Jimmy Saville and labour MP Cyril Smith......plus many many others like the Royals
in certain cases the English government have extended the publics rights to know from 25 years to 75 years to keep safe known goverment perverts personal perversions......

if you have power and money you can buy anything.....

I'll do that NJ. I might need to wait till later and read while I take a drink ! Seriously. That is beyond anything one could imagine. Sadly true my friend. "if you have power and money you can buy anything" including injustice for others and getting away with murder for the powerful/wealthy person. Sadly some interested parties by now are probably dead and will never know that FINALLY justice might be served. How sad is that? You know insurance companies delay delay delay delay delay with appeals hoping the plaintiff will die before the case is decided and thus they will have to pay out less than they would otherwise. Some people are simply evil slugs. Every single time one of them is exposed I shudder and wonder why and how. Justice should be swift to matter. Shouldn't it? I'm gonna ask that question. Thank you for your additional comments. Shudderingly yours...Rosie G. :(

The banks in England pay point 5 of one% Rosie.......they charge though 30% plus on your credit card....there are other instant lenders that advertise on national TV that charge ....they are called payday loans and they charge up to 5000%.......how can they be legal yet the government does nothing to stop them......
they are loans  designed for the poorest people that can ill afford to pay them back....

all  laws are designed to cheat the poor and protect those in power......

Bush junior and senior have bought into Blue Gold in Venezuela ........they brought up vast amounts of fresh water to eventually hold the poor to randsom.....

That isn't an error honey? "5000%"? I mean that is beyond usurious! That is purely EVIL. I've never heard of such a thing as that! I do sadly agree with thee NJ. "all laws are designed to cheat the poor and protect those in power". What do we do about it? Riot? Storm the Bastille? Burn the castles  down to the ground and string up the patricians? It's bad enough that it's in America up the kazoo. But everywhere else too? SIGH. Thank you for your really infuriating reply (not your fault of course) and Happy Wednesday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at September 13, 2017 11:51 AM MDT

It's no error Rosie ...just check out payday loans in England ....it's all in black and white....

The public enquire starts tomorrow about the Grenfell Tower enquire where hundreds of people burnt to death in their local government apartments Near White City in north west London on the 14 June this year....

The local government ie the council claim 89  people died in the fire......the fire brigade say they found 150 people dead on the stairs alone.......

how many in local Goverment will be prosecuted for their crimes........
the fire was so bad many people decided to jump to their deaths rather than be Burnt alive......

local goverment ent are now insisting that those that jumped committed sucide and won't be treated the same as those that died in the fire......

iit was on the news broadcast tonight.......

in 30/40 years time they might decide to do something after another enquiry lasting another thirty years.....

This is absolutely a WORST ever! My gosh the tragedy of it all and the greedy liars who refuse to take responsibility for it must one day pay for it. If there is a HE** surely they will be excellent candidates for living there eternally. It is staggering to think that people can be so entranced with money that they revere it beyond all else and sacrifice human lives without a second thought just so they can keep more of it. If you had read this "story" as a work of fiction would you find it believable? Truth is stranger than fiction. Thank you for all the info NJ. I can't find the words to describe it. Deplorable and evil come to mind for starters. Happy Thursday m'dear! :)

If the police went after , hounded and prosecuted government and local governments officals like they do for those that commit minor parking offences ,corruption would cease over night.....
It's a billion pound plus  industry in England and worse than comming murder it feels.....

Officers are only allowed to lie if they think it will help  make the suspect tell the truth. Perhaps telling one that the friend already told them the truth so they should as well or they will not get the plea bargain...the friend will

They are not supposed to lie for one another that is wrong and illegal.

Or plant "evidence"? Or write up a report that is a total lie to coverup for some other guy? It is disgusting . Or frame someone you don't like for a murder? I wonder how many times that has happened and how many people in history have been put to death by the state because they were framed and the state took away their lives? Based on lies. Thank you for your reply m2c. Sad it is and sadder it gets. :(

I wonder how often it happens m2c? When all the players COLLUDE and CONSPIRE to lie and frame people? I think it would be shocking to find out. Business as usual for some of them. Sadly. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursdsay to thee! :)

There some corrupt cops. They need fired and prosecuted for their crimes.
But I believe the vast majority of police officers are good people just trying to do a good job. Who believe their job is to Serve and Protect.

Well I "would like" to think so too m2c. When I was a kid a cop WAS your protector and go-to guy/gal for help. All were good/trustworthy/helpful/safe. Then reality bit us in the a ** and we found out about entire city police departments being corrupt and "on the take" and beating prisoners and planting evidence and lying to cover up. Another fantasy smashed to he**. So we hope and pray but we will never know the degree to which people in authority with power use it to abuse. Sadly.  Thank you for your reply! :)
