    It depends on the situation.  I can't see too many situations where jail time and a foster home are not warranted. 

    What psycho hits children?   But, still, it depends on the situation and what actually occurred.

    What?  No counseling?

    I think we need to just listen a little.  YES punishment.  But remember that three quarters of the abusers were abused themselves as children.

    There's the rub. 

    If I were an innocent child that needed protection while daddy and mommy were selling me into child porn for drugs, that might make me not know any better.  It is hard to just come down with a merciless hammer when thought upon that way.

    Otherwise?  We could fry them all.  There are always complications.
