Are mornings a struggle for you?

It's not just a struggle for me, it's a legit hell.

Usually not... I'm one of those happy morning people, even on nights I only get 3 hours of sleep

Yes, particularly when I am depressed.

  • uhh, yeah, i've never been fond of the process, but as long as i get the time i need to wake up, get fed, and showered, i do alright. everyone i here is fairly compliant... so that's good.

Judging by the number of people who are afraid to wake me...I'd have to say, OH HELL YEAH!

  • Once I've taken a shower, I'm good to go.

No.  Lack of sleep is.  And that can happen any time.  I can get up early if I sleep enough.  No problem.

I don't do mornings. My kids learned from a young age that it's dangerous to talk to me before I've had coffee.

My ex-wife (who is otherwise a fine person) is like that.

lol That's a fair depiction of a coffee-drinker in the morning, too.

I love mornings, it's my favorite time. I take a deep breath, thank God that it's a new day, do a few push ups and sit-ups  in bed, and then get my coffee and yogurt and savor the moment. The key is to focus on what is good not what's bad. I don't have a lot of material goods, but I am so happy:)

    Yes.

I struggle to get my mind in a suitable frame of mind. I have GAD and sometimes my first waking thought is simply fear.

I smile when so many authors who try to inspire people tell people "it's always darkest before the dawn -- I do much better at night and in the darkness. My favorite time of day is early evening.

    :)
