If you pass her tests, you've earned it.

I don't think it works that way. Not for me, at least.

I either love someone or I don't. To each their own, and all of that.

Easy and automatic. Steady, good paying job, fat wallet and bank account and good health insurance.

It's the big bulge in a man's pants that "earns" her love. The bulge over the left hip. When that goes away then so does her "love".

Bottom line . . . ALL women are prostitutes. It's just a matter of how big of a "client" list they have.

You're more salty I think. I don't care about wealth.

Yeah, I got that "I don't care about wealth" disclaimer too.

But when the waters get rough are you willing to make necessary sacrifices? Are you a helpmate to your significant other? Do you start pulling your own weight if you aren't already doing so from an emotional and financial standpoint? Or do you think that it's the man's responsibility to "entertain" you and be the sole provider irrespective of of other considerations?

So maybe the real question should be how does a woman earn a man's love?  This post was edited by Salt and Red Pepper at September 23, 2017 8:07 PM MDT

Studies show that women who work tend to still do more household chores even when she works as much as her man, or earns as much. Both my parents work and my mom does much more at home. My dad is a lazy piece of sh*t. I take more after my dad, I'm afraid. I rather go out and work than be 'domesticated'. If I'm broke and he's broke then we can always sleep under the stars. From what I've seen, you don't need a fancy car, a big house and expensive vacations to be happy. But I  really would not know I've never been that poor or that rich.
I might sing a different tune if I had kids though.

    Such sad answers here. :/
Love isn't "earned." It's given freely and unconditionally.
Respect, loyalty, trust... those things can be earned (and lost).

"Respect,...........can be earned earned (and lost)"

I am taking a screen shot of your answer with my Snagit app.  (It's what I think as well.)

I don't think he was correcting me. He was quoting me and saying he was saving my quote. I don't think there was an error in what I wrote.

Not in what you wrote, but in the new version a second 'earned' have appeared. It is quite difficult not to make mistakes like that.

You're right I wasn't---I was just focusing on the word "respect"---only to the exclusion of the other two for emphasis, not because I ever thought they should not have been listed.

As a matter of fact, trust and loyalty may well be more important than respect in some real life situations.i This post was edited by tom jackson at September 24, 2017 4:22 PM MDT

By being you. If it was meant to be it will. You never earn love, you give out a lot of it and the cosmos returns back a lot more to you with interest.
