I'm Australian, but most of my ancestry is Irish - save for one Canuckois great-great-grandfather who bequeathed me a surname nobody can pronouce, one aboriginal great-great-great-grandmother and one ancestor with no past - he called himself "John Smith", 'nuff said. Those Irish ancestors came from all over. Kildare, Clare, Kilkenny, Dublin, Carlingford, Derry and Tyrone among them.
Wow! You really traced that back huh? My grandfather came to Canada from Russia in the 40's and bought the land I live on now, My other grandfather was from Russia too and my grandmother was German and my other grandmother was Dutch? I think the war was the reason most of them came to Canada and I like it here. Thanks. : )
Cool. Not sure what welsh sounds like, but I knew a girl from Australia in highschool and a woman I talked to in a store had a really thick Australian accent and I like it a lot for some reason. : She was really pretty and the accent was really great too. : ) Thanks.
I still haven't watched that series yet, but I'll be on the lookout for Chibs, the Scottish Sgt at Arms. Looks like an interesting show. : ) Thanks Righty1
