Let's be realistic. The meeks' inheritance will be restricted to spiritual stuff. The non-meek will retain the material stuff for themselves.

Before the meek inherit the earth, the haughty governments that oppose God's Kingdom and think they can accomplish peace on their own will make an all out attack on the meek only to find out that was a mistake and when they incur God's wrath they themselves will find out that money cannot save them.
(Ezekiel 7:19) “‘They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will become abhorrent to them. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them in the day of Jehovah’s fury. They will not be satisfied, nor will they fill their stomachs, for it has become a stumbling block causing their error. (1 John 2:15-17) Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.
(Psalm 2:2) The kings of the earth take their stand And high officials gather together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one. (Daniel 2:44) “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever, (Revelation 11:18) But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”
