My two-week-old coffee grinder caught fire while I was using it today... did I kill it or was it defective?

Because I'm pretty sure fire isn't normal, even if it's used a lot...

Defective methink but take it apart and do forensics. Also put a meter on the outlet it was plugged into. This post was edited by O-uknow at October 1, 2017 11:40 PM MDT

Perhaps you just don't know anything about coffee and its related products.

You should use an electric grinder not one powered by a gas motor. Much less fire hazard -lucky you didn't have your house catch fire.

  • If you were using it according to the directions, it was defective.
