I do. I also remember when they kind of started this reality show crap. Did you watch "The Real World"? I must confess I did.

I generally don't watch those kinds of reality shows. I do like the gold miner ones and the crab and tuna fishermen ones.

    I think it's a bit ridiculous.

I suppose when a woman who works at a restaurant is asked what her position is she should say "I'm a waiter".  Or if you're asked what your gender is when filling out a job application, you should say I'm a human being. Lol

I think this whole movement to remove gender from the equation is (And I'll say it again) totally ridiculous. I just don't see the point.

well, it's like this...anyone who acts, is an actor.......'actress' is a term, I feel, that had to be used for awards; you couldn't have 'best actor' be a male and a female!!

and best actor in a leading role, Montgomery Clift
and best actor in a leading role, Jennifer Jones.

    see how DUMB that'd be?
those are just the 2 names that popped into my head; I was thinking of "Place in the Sun" and "Madame Bovary'..both GREAT, by the way!!!!!!

  • There was a time when women were not allowed to perform on stage and men were cast in the roles of females.  At that time there was no term known as "actress".  There were only "actors".  Actress is a term that was coined later when woman took to the art.  I think we need more men in women's roles today.  Let the woman do hair and make up on set.  LOL!
