Its partly our nature to “go forth and prosper”, it’s ingrained in our beliefs. Its about people who preach that we must perpetuate our species at all costs; and it is also the opinion of some that the earth cannot continue to support our species indefinitely. There is merit in this last claim.

I for one, am of the view that had we dedicated more thought and resources to making this planet sustainable, there would be less compulsion to leave it. But it might be that we’ve crossed a tipping point. How sad. This post was edited by Don Barzini at October 8, 2017 8:21 PM MDT
