Presumably everyone has "standards". if YOU do are yours flexible or rigid? Why?

    I shall disagree with your first premise. Not ALL people have standards. Now...to the question. Mine are somewhat rigid, like a 1/8" sheet of steel, which is also somewhat bendable...but only if someone is strong enough to do so.

    Did you notice the first word of my question Ele? PRESUMABLY. Meaning assuming or presuming. There is wiggle room there.  My standards aren't very flexible. Dealbreakers arise from them. I have especially high standards with regard to whom I let in my life. I'm even a snob. Don't tell anyone.  Not for the normal reasons people are snobs but I like to surround myself with people who are smarter than I am and kinder, better, more thoughtful, more knowledgeable. Why? Because that's how I can become a better person. If I slum around with the bums in the world there is no place for me to go but down and I can do that on my own. Thank you for your reply! :).
