Can you name a few living or dead, well-known, public intellectuals besides Noam Chomsky?

They can be from other countries.

William F Buckley, Arthur Miller, and Norman Podhoretz are 3 that come immediately to mind.

Slavoj Zizek. Super hard to understand sometimes, but incredibly insightful and penetrating intelligence. I think, lol. A lot of it is way over my head.

Wow, the guy concedes the claim ISIS exists because of US intervention in the Levant which destabilized the governments of Iraq and Syria is TRUE!

Of course, because he cannot allow the truth of the claim to stand for ideological reasons, he employs the logical fallacy of infinite regression (e.g. blame all prior events in history up to and including human migration out of Africa for the state of the world today). It's horses**t and you know it.

Old, now I KNOW you did not write that one expecting AL to understand the logic or the big words.  Yes, other people are reading this.  Just so you know this was not dust in the wind here.

Sharp answer. You asked "can you name?" and she answered "sure" as in yes she can. Had you asked "please name" or "will you name", you might have received a different answer.

@Stu, this is a question site. No one says "please". You just ask the question. Now, if they don't answer, you can ask them to answer it.

@Al, have you seen Sam Harris videos with Chomsky? He would be the first to admit that Chomsky is #1 public intellectual. He may not agree with him, but he respects his intelligence.
