    Wife still does it.

I had a go at school, making a 9 in square.

I'm impressed. I love crocheted things. They are so delicate, refined and beautiful. Like spider webs sometimes they are unbelievably fragile in appearance. Thank you for your reply Malizz. Lucky you. I never tried it. Seemed beyond my ability so i never had a go at it! :) Happy Thursday! :)

I crochet, mostly baby blankets for family and friends.  I also crochet scarves which get sent to the troops through Operation Gratitude.

It's not exactly lost. I have heard of several football stars who crochet in spare time. Rosie Greer was one. Other than that I am not familiar with it.

  • Far from being a lost art.
There are popular crochet competitions at every agricultural fair,
there are the arty versions where artist crochet huge sculptures on armatures or hung from ceilings,
or draped around street posts for special events,
and there are the Rotary, Lions and old aged homes where people knit blankets for charity.
It's also becoming more popular as a hobby for men.
