Constant 12 months a year there is construction on both the US highway that run through my town as well as the Interstate that goes up the middle of the state. I have never driven 20 miles without encountering construction since I have been coming down here beginning in 2001.
They have been doing destr...I mean construction on I-75, I-475 and I-280 for at least six years here. I never them anymore as I have become quite familiar with the city streets.

The main street that runs near my home and which connects me to 90% of the places I want to go, has been completely torn up for over 6 months and is scheduled to be torn up for another year. That hasn't stopped the city and county from also performing construction on the alternate routes at the same time. Luckily, in Minnesota, most road construction stops during the winter months. Unfortunately, the snow and ice are almost as bad.
