Less of a police presence at NFL games. Will this help eleminate anthem protests?

(Some of) The players say they are protesting the police. Some police are beginning to protest the NFL. By refusing to volunteer for security of NFL games. This weks game in Miami had only 275 officers of the normal 400 for a division game and only 175 were volunteers. The rest were assigned and paid overtime. (Volunteers are still paid but less)
A good way to counter-protest? Will it help?

I am not at all sure what anybody is protesting. There is no particular reason to play music before the start of the game except that it was a powerful entertainment at one time, but now it is a meaningless tradition. There is no particular meaning to a flag except that it marks where "our side is here". Freedom is not a thing. The USA is one of the LEAST free countries in the world. The only thing we have going is nationalism in a nation that has failed to earn any such devotion.

It appears that some people get emotional about this just because they don't know anything else to get emotional about.
