Will "tax cuts" alone drive up the economy or is something else required to happen in concert with them? If so what and why?

My personal economy has never benefitted from tax cuts. A few hundred dollars off my tax bill will not make much difference. I have told Trump this in a survey.

Thank you for your helpful reply bh. Talk is cheap. Promises mean nothing when they don't deliver what was PROMISED! Happy Monday! :)

Tax cuts supposedly stimulate the economy, presumably because people have more money to spend.  Whether that will translate into 400,000 new jobs is questionable.  In order for that to happen, I believe we would also have to export more items that we manufacture.  I'm pretty sure we don't manufacture nearly as much as we would like and with countries like China propping up their country in order to keep salaries low, we aren't operating on a level playing field.  Without that, we aren't much better off than we are now.

Exactly.  I'm pretty sure that lowering taxes was Reagan's trickle down theory and that didn't work.  You know what they say, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  Happy Monday. :)

It takes real drive/determination/focus to keep insisting that something works when it never has. Some might call that insanity. Others might call it being stubborn. Why they keep promulgating failure makes no sense but the base always buys what the party sells and it is always to the base they play. A nice little bubble world they control. It would be laughable if it didn't affect the rest of us but it does. SIGH.  Thank you for your reply Spunky and Happy Tuesday! :)
