Discussion»Questions»Human Behavior» If someone says "I don't smoke. Never have" does that include marijuana too? Is "smoking" limited to tobacco/standard smokes?
Years ago I worked with a guy who went deep-sea fishing almost every weekend Maurice. He smoked his own fish and from time to time he would bring some in for the employees! I don't know exactly what wood he used but honestly it was the best smoked fish I've EVER had. It was some kind of whitefish. I don't remember. The fishing was out of San Diego. I really don't like that "liquid smoke" junk that is used so often and he didn't use that. I also don't know what kind of smoker he had but I'll tell ya I've never tasted better smoked fish. Do you really have an electric smoker? I know nothing about them but do they require the use of wood to "flavor" whatever is being smoked and do you smoke whitefish too? As you might have gathered I'm a real FOODIE! Thank you for your question and Happy Tuesday! :)
You still need wood chips to produce the smoke, but just smoke, no fire. :) Tends to give a more even heat and smoke on all racks, rather than the bottom being hot (due to the fire) and the top cooler . Different wood chips for different flavors. I don't have a smoker, but a friend has one in his garage.
Was that in the past or do you also smoke now mom? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! Does smoking marijuana affects one's lungs the same as smoking tobacco? Inquiring minds wanna know! :)
I have given up on the tobacco but still occasionally have some wacky baccy, it was because of shortage of breath that I gave up tobacco but now no problem and the marijuana does not appear to be a problem with the lungs.
Never heard that before mom. "Wacky baccy" refers to marijauna I gather? I kinda like it. It's fun to say. I think you know I love words and playing with them. I think it's a keeper. I might just co-opt the use in any future reference to marijuana but I will give you attribution for its use. I know that wacky baccy (see I just did it!) can be used effectively for medicinal purposes. For people with AIDS or cancer it seems to alleviate/mitigate pain. It 's good that it doesn't adversely affect the lungs. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)
