How much damage to a car and tires happen when the roads are in need of repair? How does it affect tire wear, engines, etc?

    Major suspension problems can occur, blown tires, scraped oil pans. Here is one of our major street running through our city. This was three years ago. The have since fixed it. It is the residential side streets here with the biggest problems and is a major issue for next week's mayorial election.

    Yikes. Gadzooks! Egads! And I thought our streets were bad in Hemet! Glad that one in the photo was repaired. It looks treacherous! A picture is certainly worth a thousands words. Thanks for the picture Ele!  :)

    The damage is normally to tyres, suspension and steering - the last can be knocked out of alignment, and that will wear the tyres more rapidly than the road surfaces will. 

    The engine and transmission are not usually affected.
