why are old people so uptight

Hi a m b e r ~ As I pull you aside and whisper... Please know, I didn't think you were serious about the flip phone thing.  My dad carries one and I'm sure you wouldn't go and bash his head in.  When you saw it was vivid pink and a flip phone, you might...Big Winks and smiles and giving you the elbow!!
Noooo, it was such a generalized question, you were bound to get defensive answers.  
I don't know where you work but I also have had my fair share of "grumpy old men and women" in my line of work.  In all generations there are the good, the bad, and the ugly!
