Actual headline ~ "US Marine who lost both legs running 31 marathons in a month"

Stupid me -- after reading the headline, I thought the Marine lost both of his legs because he ran in too many marathons in a month.

In actuality, he had already lost both legs in the service and now is running in a lot of marathons.

I still think my initial interpretation/mistake is not totally my fault.

Funny statement, WelbyQuentin! Yes, I'm answering your statement because I think it's still sort of funny.

It's not your fault; it's a poorly-worded headline, of which there are many.  Read on, please.

The jacquerie who guillotined Marie Antoinette and buried her without her head, for, they say, thoughtlessly disparaging the peasantry with her 'let them eat cake' remark, say she is now thinking outside the box.
