Yes. They say it in England. "That was a bit forward."

Oh GOD not you, not ever.

I am talking about trolls who post their hatred of homosexuals by quoting the Bible. Let's start there.  You don't even qualify.

I think of them as sexy, or liberationists, or fun. I don't think my mother knew any. Lol

It was a quite commonly-used reference when I was growing up, but now that you mention its infrequent use nowadays, I realize that I haven't heard it for a while. Among black folks it was used all the time back in the day, but among that same crowd, even more common was the word "fast".

Sidebar: forward did not only refer to girls; a guy could be too forward by crossing a line that he was not supposed to have crossed.

Let's see. What to say back to this?  Give me a second.  Oh yeah.  The reason for this whole thing is my flashing on my mom's take on Linda Klinger.   I SWEAR THAT WAS HER NAME.  Perfect.

LOL She was a very physically enhanced girl in the 8th grade Catholic school I went to.  It seems, looking back, Linda had daddy issues.  Like mommy drank a lot and daddy was not around.  Then Linda (who smoked like a chimney BTW and looked kind of tough) grew some major ta tas and got the attention of every young boy in the area.  She loved it.  Who wouldn't? BUT? She was 12 years old for GODSAKES.

So, I bring her home one day to meet the folks and she sits on my dad's lap.  And starts talking to him.   My dad was a lot like Mr. TOTALLY straight laced and quiet.  He did not know what to do.  My mom is standing there in shock.  Haaa haaaah  aaahgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

So, she tells Linda, gently, that it is kind of strange to do that to a stranger.

When she left, my mom just shook her head and said, "There is something wrong with that girl.   She is so FORWARD".

Now, why I am telling you all this is because the punch line is that the next time she said that was when she met Cindy.  HAAAAAA   Cindy was all over my brother.  My brother LOVED it, my mother did NOT.  She never forgave Cindy for that one.   EVER.

Yes, Randy.  FAST was the common term.  Forward was a tad backward when fast hit the big time, terminologically speaking.  Is that even a WORD?  It must be because I either broke spell check or it is a real word.

    Yes, well... Cindy is Cindy

    Those are great stories!

And in truth, I've been a little awkward around "forward' women because I'm so unaccustomed to it.

It's a bit forward of me to ask to see you clad only in your finest unmentionables.

It would be a bit fast of you to comply.
