Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson playing golf with the Donald John (who said his vacation was a working vacation). If asked would you play?

So Woods and Johnson are Trumpians,Trumpets then? Why else would they associate themselves with him?  Does a Prez ask, demand or command?   I think they just tainted themselves forever more by agreeing to be window dressing for the Donald John ego.  SIGH. Tiger was lost long ago and whatever he does is irrelevant. Who cares?. Dustin?. Now?  I guess we shall find out how committed he is to the Donald John and what that does to his career.

No way. Woods has never beaten me in a match and I wouldn't want that to happen. Also, I wouldn't walk across the street to pee on trump's shadow.

It seems to me if you can't stand the guy you'd decline the offer. I guess they think it's good press or they like him. Thank you for your reply Ele and Happy Saturday! :)

I would get more press by declining...especially if I did it publicly. Their agents control what they do. $$$

You mean they do NOT have sovereignty/autonomy? That sucks. I would not do well under such a "regime" as that. I don't care how much they'd pay me. I'd tell the agent to go suck an egg and not show up. Thank you for your reply Ele.

Every President has been a golfer. A President gets to play any golf course in the world EXCEPT Augusta National. (The Masters) He must be invited by a member. Neither Woods nor Johnson are members. Anyway, I would play with any President as would any superstar golfer. I don't think party affiliation makes a difference to a golfer because the game is just too democratic.

So you would play if Obama asked you as well? You bring up a good point and I'm gonna ask about it. Why does every prez play golf? I think you'd have to like the guy or it would be a horrible ordeal to be stuck for hours with no way to escape. You say golf is too democratic. I'm not sure I understand what you mean bh. Could you elaborate for me? Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

Golf is equal for all who play it. The same level playing field. Your skills will show your ability. (and some luck)  My dictionary explains it several ways including; 'the principal of equality'.

Well you have to have a certain degree of expertise to be invited to play at some of the well-known golf courses. You can't just show up and play if you pay, right? I mean could you or Jim show up at Augusta and play the entire 18 rounds of golf? I think entrance to tournaments  is by invitation only or after having played and "made the cut ". Is it exclusive to professionals and perhaps residents? Thank you for your reply bh.

I neither play golf nor do I understand it.  I would not have any interest whatsoever in joining them at it (or anyone else for, that matter).

If you think about it, all sports are irrelevant. Some are fun, though and I enjoyed golf for many years. I no longer can because of some physical problems and that saddens me.

"Irrelevant"?  I don't know you you think that, but you're certainly entitled to do so. I don't see relevancy or lack thereof as being applicable here; I simply don't get your point.

    'you you'?
If you don't think like me it is difficult to explain. Maybe an example: If every sport ceased to exist (not the people who would have played them, of course), how would that affect the world? The Ohio State-Michigan football game is playing today. How is that important to YOU? I guess I think in absolutes and do not take into account other factors. Go Buckeyes.
