Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Religions or God?

This one's obvious.  The egg came first, because long before there were chickens there were dinosaurs and lizards that were ancestors of the modern chicken and most of them laid eggs.  Religions came before the concept of God, they were polytheistic and revolved around worship of the seasons.  Most of the Holidays from Christianity were derived from traditional Pagan calendar events. 

I believe man always searches for the Transcendent ,the realm beyond just as surely as he seeks to understand the nature of the physical universe. There is a tribe of  Native Americans in the South West who believe their prayers cause the sun to rise ,and we should be grateful to them...

While I don't believe that I do believe in God.

Rich or powerful men invented religion to create confusion and rob the weak and poor...

God came first.

God created the chicken then the chicken laid and egg.

You could say that one is simply a symptom of the other. you have to have both to exist, the chicken would have been a product of it's ancestors so would have been the "first" chicken. So i guess you could say both. The first real "chicken" came out of an egg.

Except for the people who thought up the whole idea and thus created God.

God was created in the image of men.

All life came from the sea, and sea creatures lay eggs, so the egg came first. There is no such thing as god.

My belief is that the chicken came first and that GOD has always existed. He is from everlasting to everlasting. Religions are of man.

God didn' come. He is, has always been, always will be.

The world egg came before the chicken.

Of course you, as a Catholic, would believe that. From what I know of Catholicism, the church frowns upon dissent from dogma and faith. But if you think about it objectively, you really can't disprove the very sensible theory that human beings formed societies and then religions. Then they invented the concept of God to explain how everything came to be. It's really quite logical and doesn't demand your blind faith.
