As I grew up, I constantly challenged what the idea of integrity was.  I tested my values versus the world's, and usually I would and see what was left and really learn what kind of character I wanted to own.

I am solid now in what I feel and think and I would not change my values for ANYTHING.  This does not mean I have to prove anything to anyone but myself.  I cannot live with me if I cheat on me.  This is my strength and the medicine that allows me to live each day and look in the mirror and not vomit.

I don't get people who think they can substitute their word and what matters for something they think they just gotta have.  It may look better on the surface, but that is the test.  What makes character is the strength of purpose and knowing you are true no matter what you are faced with.

You cannot enjoy anything if you are empty inside.

A hole within that can never be filled. They never have enough. That's why they want need require demand  more more more more more. What you have they want too. Insatiable. The hole grows bigger and deeper and wider each day which is what drives them to do what they do and say what they say. Like a very long tapeworm that consumes from within and keeps growing until it is ENORMOUS...the emptiness consumes them and eventually they die. SIGH. Thank you for your thoughtful reply! :)
