I get down to the laundry room. We have three small washers and one double-sized. I need the big one, but someone's wash is still in it although the wash is done. Do I take wait to see if they come down in a few minutes to take their wash out or do I take it out right away and put mine in?
Bear in mind: There have been times when I've used a smaller washer, done my wash and dried it (about a 1.5 hour process) and their wash is still in a washer. Ergo, I took the wash out of the large machine I needed and put mine in.

UPDATE: I went to take my wash out of the washer and put it in the dryer and that pile of wet wash was still in the basket. Had I chose to wait until the owner came to get it, it would have sat there for 50 minutes.
The kid actually came down as I was taking my stuff out of the washer. I asked him if he had any idea how long his clothes had been sitting there and he said he didn't. I told him I took them out when I got downstairs and my wash took 45 minutes. He at least had the decency to apologize. My stuff was done in the dryer and folded before he had to come down for his.
