I religiously follow your posts as if they were manna from heaven. I don't believe I'd make it through even one day without accessing your sage advice, your soothing temperament, your even-handed outlook, your calm perspectives.  Please do not ever leave us or abandon us; we are lost without you.

I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy.

I love that, too, but it's easier for me to find the donuts than it is the orange peel (and less expensive). :)  Happy Sunday.

Well I'm a cat person but this graphic definitely melts my heart. You know those ads they show on TV about abused homeless animals? The camera gets up very close to their faces and you see the fear/despair in their eyes. We cannot watch them. I think there should be a special place in a special place reserved for those who abuse/harm/neglect animals. A very bad bad place. Thank you for your reply SA and the photo. The little guy 4th from the left calls to me. Is he taken?  :)

I can't watch those either. I used to go to a shelter and play with the animals, but I can't do it anymore. It just breaks me. I'm not sure what it says about me that I still manage to help out homeless people. Maybe they're just better at hiding their fear and despair? :(

He is a cutie, isn't he?

They're all cute honey and they all look like they are loved and taken good care of(I know..I just ended a sentence with a dangling preposition! Oy vey!) To know that there are humans in the world who ENJOY abusing other living things is very sad indeed. Or to be so indifferent and uncaring that it doesn't matter at all to them. Sometimes I read things that are so horrible and tragic with regard to animal abuse I can't even ask the question on Answermug. I ask questions of course to inform people just in case they are unaware and also to perhaps get a discussion going to see what people think. But some things are unbelievably horrific. Those I don't share. Every time I think I've seen the very worst of which humans are capable I'm proven wrong. I never mind being wrong about things. But those things? SIGH. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday. I have a very good friend whom I've never met in person whom I met on Answerbag . I've mentioned her before on Answermug. She and her husband are both involved in charities but what is very close to her heart is finding good homes for abandoned/abused animals. She spends a lot of her free  giving-back-to-society time in animal shelters trying to get pets adopted out. I'm very proud of her. I'm proud of you too. I totally understand when you say it "breaks" you. Maybe because all the communication between animals and humans is non-verbal. They can't tell you or share with you anything verbally. They can only show you in their eyes and how they carry themselves. Oh dear. I'm visualizing them now and I'm making myself sad. Anyway have a great day SA! :) ((hugs))

  • Cheddar and sour cream potato chips. Why? Because they are so salty and crunchy and make my brain release dopamines, for a while. They're my legal, highly addictive drug, lol.
