Ants have communities and rush about industriously 24/7. Do they know they are trapped in sand in glass and are amusements?
Think humans know they are just exactly like the ants? Moving about furiously industriously self-importantly but are trapped and being watched by one another and perhaps "others"? Are ants better off all things considered?
