The POWER does reside in the people. All they have to do is work together for a common goal and be persistent.. Right?

The anti-people (except for the obscenely rich who really aren't people after all, only dollar signs) governments all fall in time. Insurrections. Revolts. Revolutions. Riots. Peaceful resistance. Refusal to obey/back down/always moving forward and upward.  When the people speak they demand to be heard. Ignoring them is very tricky and potentially very dangerous. I would not want to be the one who enraged them, made them infuriated. Would you?

Haha sounds like the Marxist idea of heaven.  But in fact the "rich" are just people like anyone else but people who have had the ambition and the vision and have been willing to work hard and make sacrifices to attain their dream.  Now you may be jealous of them and envy them but a civilization just based upon jealousy and envy is not a civilization at all.  People all have different goals so rather than work together all they do is destroy one another.  If you destroy the rich and rob them of their money you also destroy their knowledge and know-how so  all you end up with is another Soviet Russia where instability reigns and everyone suffers except for the top bureaucrats who are always scheming to destroy each other.  And poverty follows because there is no one making the money to pay the bills!   Like the "poor" the "rich" will always be with us and we should be glad of that .  Rather than hate and try to destroy them we should learn from them just as they learn from us.  Which is the way it used to be before people started buying into artificial notions of "class" in this country.   There are no classes - just people who are hopefully working to make as good a life for themselves and others as they are able to.  We should always be striving for better things and to be better people for out of that comes our happiness.  But if all we do is hate and resent and strive only bring everyone else down to our level then we have no appreciation or gratitude.
