I read in today's paper about a homeless man standing gaurd for to hours in the pouring rain next to a car with the window open and a woman's hand bag in plain view with four hundred pounds in it......when no one came back he took the bag and handed it into a local solicitors after leaving a note in the car about what he had done....

because if he's deeds of kindness.....people in the city of Glasgow Scotland have been donating thousands to the homeless and they actually found the homeless man and are helping him to return to a normal life....so far he's been gifted with £8,000 pounds  just to help him get started again....,.,

    How nice nice is that....:)

That is beyond nice. It is inspirational! Here in the states awhile back a gal ran out of gas on a dark highway. She locked the car and was beginning to walk to a gas station. A homeless man who was there stopped her and asked her to get back into the car and lock the door. He would go and the gas. He used his last $20 to buy the gas. She was unable to repay him on the spot but later she and her boyfriend kept going back to see him and give him money. She wanted to do something more. Her goal was to raise $10,000. She started a fund letting people know the reason and the last I heard it was well over $300,000!. So there are magnificent people out there who seldom get noticed. The lousy bums and morally corrupt hog all the headlines. Except on occasion something like your answer slips through and once again we feel that perhaps there is hope after all that we humans are worth something more than our bank balances, where we live, what we drive. Thank you for your lovely reply NJ!  :)

  • I would have to say Don Quixote's quests to help people, grant boons, and fight evil. Everything about him was magnificent, especially his words when he was rambling on. I love that book. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 16, 2017 9:52 PM MST
