Llamas seem like strange pets, but I know of some. In the city. I knew a little boy who had a pet deer that his family saved when it was a baby. Out West in one of my favorite places the deer don't even flinch when they encounter people. I knew I was in a special place when I drove down the boulevard by the beach and groups of deer sat happily in the median between the North and South traffic.
A boa. Everybody I know who had a boa LOST it. About six months later it turned up again. Now, just where do you think a six foot snake can hide in an apartment for six months?
An article I saw on Facebook recently said a girl had a boa that ran loose most of the time and even slept with her, stretching out along her body. Then it stopped eating, so she took it to the vet. The vet said there was nothing wrong, it was just getting ready for its next meal: HER!
