Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» If you truly revere all life does that reveration include roaches and maggots? Is there a list of alive you care naught about it? Like what?
no, i have had issues with bedbugs and i dont feel one bit guilty for killing them or for having my apt heat treated or sprayed, dont bother me in the least
I do not revere all life. Some I revere for its beauty, its nature, or its usefulness. Some I revere as sources of food. I do not revere mosquitoes, plague viruses or parasitic lifeforms that infect other creatures. I don’t revere the lives of despicable creatures like roaches, Westboro Baptists or Dick Cheney.
It came as a cold realization some time ago, that as cruel as it sounds, I don’t care one iota if polar bears survive or not. Whether they do or don’t is beyond my scope of influence, regardless.
Different strokes m'dear. I do care about polar bears. I am very sad that the higher temps due to climate change or global warming or a giant hoax/scam(take your pick) are melting their homes and they are currently starving. Mankind has been a blight on this planet. At the end what will have been accomplished? Will any of it have mattered? The billionaires will become increasingly billionairy. The poor will die. The mediums will be doing all the heavy lifting as they always do. To what end? The world as it was might not have been perfect but it was better than what we have today. We have an ignorant (proudly so) despotoci Russian puppet who loves to eat beautiful chocolate cake with two scoops of ice cream controlling the strings. He damages and destroys and then wants credit for it. SIGH. Where are we headed? Who the he ** knows? Thank you for your reply Don B and Happy Monday to thee. :(
I go by "replenish and subdue". It also depends on how handy or destructive they are. Roaches are killed. Lizards are allowed to wandering freely, inside or out. Raccoons are thinned out now and then (22 rifle) since they are so destructive. Non venomous snakes are welcome. The tarantula in my kitchen was caught and relocated. So was the possum. Indoor frogs are no problem. Non venomous spiders are moved out. Exception-wolf spiders, those things can really bite, they get killed. Mice and rats are killed, they can cause a home to catch on fire. Wasps are caught and put outside. Scorpions inside are killed.
