  • Maybe they became friends.
    : )
Your snake will never eat another rat so just feed him pizza buns. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 17, 2017 12:54 PM MST

Maybe I should put a little salt on the rat to make him more tasty looking.

  • You have to be nice to animals.
Salting your rat and feeding him to your Trump is evil.
Careful because in your next life you might be the rat. : )

Actually, its even crueler to watch your snake die from starvation. They wont eat anything that isnt alive. ;)

  • Put the snake back in the wild.
Free him from prison and give the pizza bun to the rats as an apology.
    Problem solved. : )

    (live rat)
    Or
    (life raft)

Depending, of course, on the particular brand of weirdness you're practicing today.

I don't know how to figure the frequency of their hunger. But at the zoo last year they told us their python had not eaten in like a year, it is a huge one. The largest albino phython in captivity.
I do hope you keep it locked up well...I am sure you do. I just worry about little ones. I went to school with a guy whose python ate his baby.

I know they can get big, but my baby is only a couple of feet long. He is well secured. ;)

There are a number of vet shows on cable.

Within the last month, a Ball Python was brought in and treated for bite injuries from a rat.

Turns out the owner put a live rat in for the python to eat and the python wasn't hungry (apparently he only ate about once a month) and the rat ended up attacking him.

The snake healed well after his wounds were cleaned and dressed by the vet.

The vet suggested feeding only dead rats (available frozen, I guess) to prevent a similar problem in the future. This post was edited by tom jackson at December 17, 2017 1:42 PM MST
