We are ALL flawed SA. I haven't yet experienced first-hand the 'sarcastic" you but the empatetic, compassionate and open-minded part of you I buy 100%. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday!  :)

Here's the flaw in that ointment KG. Because you are an Atheist you truly believe those who aren't have mental defects and not "sane". Which means you think they are "insane" because they don't believe what you do or as you do. Don't you think that's a teeny tiny bit arrogant? No one KNOWS. We all just suppose. When we die will we know then or is no then then? Thank you for your reply and   Happy Thursday to thee. Here's comes a question.

I just think non-belief would allow a more peaceful existence since everyone could be more agreeable on a lot of things.

I doubt it m'dear. Differences in religion isn't the only basis of hate/disagreement/ugly. Politics is right up there. So is social status...the obscenely wealthy suck the blood and gnaw on the bones of the poor. That is everywhere and is getting worse it seems. Humans are wired to hate. There is no other explanation for it. Being "better than" is a need in some whatever it is based on. Religion, politics, appearance, social status, skin color. You name it and someone will hate it and proselytize and promulgate and get others to hate. Thank you for your reply. It isn't being agreeable that we need as much as being civil and not hating "the other". Disagreement is good. It's healthy. It is an educational tool. It never is about THAT we disagree. It's always all about HOW we disagree. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Kg. In my opinion of course. :)

I think we classify others to sort them out in our own minds and to comfortable file them away for ourselves because otherwise dealing with them is too difficult and time-consuming for us.  We just want easy answers.  I try not to but do find myself doing it as well.  I don't think I would be easy to classify but nonetheless people try to pigeonhole me and put me into their limited categories.  "Conservative", "selfish", "dull", "quiet", "helpful", "old-fashioned", "naughty", "aging" , "cold roast", "corporate drudge" etc.  _ _ _ ?  None of which really defines me but people try to.
