Just make sure it's a true Phillips.   Lots of cheap ones from China.   Especially the changeable bits kind, look like phillips but are really Japanese standard head.   Looks identical but actually has a different profile.   If you use a phillips head that is the correct number size but always manages to cam out....  It's most likely a JIC and not true phillips.

Yes.   Anyone in this operation is to use superior Robertson and Torx head fasteners as opposed to outdated phllips and flat heads.
