If you allowed someone to tell a white lie that involved you, and it later morphed into a monster, would you correct it or let it stand?

    I've had that happen to me.  Initially, I let it go because I didn't have the time nor the interest.  BUT, it wound up escalating and I was being confronted by a lot of people.  So, I nipped it.  I invited the person to meet me at a bar, then invited two of the most vocal people who questioned me, and laid it all on the table with the guy.  I forced him to admit that he was lying.  Never saw him again after that.  He moved away. lol.  Moron.
