Has a dream ever helped you untangle a vexatious problem?

Actually yes. I had been trying to solve a calculus equation for four hours. My brain started to fry so I decided to take a short nap. In that realm between sleep and awakeness I saw the solution to the equation. I snapped awake and solved it in ten minutes.

That realm is a good place to visit, but difficult to find.

  • I once dreamt of a very large and complicated diagram I didn't understand a thing of, along with a niggling message like "disconnect here, reconnect there." I was jolted awake and realised it related to a relationship issue I was going through.
Amazing the way the subconscious works!  This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 25, 2017 7:00 PM MST

I am that way when I smoke weed. I have ideas and solutions to problems that vanish too fast to write them down.

    Practice makes perfect.

It's fun learning.  It's like surfing.  Hang-ten.  It may not be your total thing, but I swear, it won't rot your brain or liver.  (nor?) Yes. Nor liver.

It is worth that alone to switch a periolously depressing addiction to an addiction of awe and wonder that makes life worth reconsidering.  If it uplifts you or relaxes you in any manner, it will keep you from craving a drink.  You need to put the alcohol down or the weed is not worth it.

And if you cannot stand to put down the drink, the pot will re-direct your thoughts elsewhere.  Try it for that alone.  Give up the booze with it if you want to really treat yourself to a powerful way to do it.  I am the only one I know that did this.  (so don't)

I don't believe so, at least not that I recall.
