Have you ever had a complete stranger appear in a dream, speaking to you in a language you don't understand a word of?

Has a word or phrase of what was uttered stuck in your mind?

Sure. I have had that experience wide-awake as well.

    Many times, actually.

    Many times.

This just occurred.  In a dream God said:  *Note-- He does not come around much in my dreams.  When He does, there is a longing for it.  Big time.  To see Him. And then he does speak in my language, I guess, English if there were words to form.  Here is what He said.  So it fits the category because it really is kind of gibberish.

And yet.  It isn't.  He said.  You think you are healthy, but you are not healthy.  He shook His head.  Then said two more words.  "NO eggs.  He said.  No eggs."

From that moment on.  I have been obsessed with eggs.  Until now I had not realized the meaning of the message.  Until now.  I get it now.  It wasn't about the eggs. It was about addiction and obsession.  I wanted.  It didn't matter that GOD told me NO.  I wanted EGGS.  God never comes to me, then He does.  He doesn't NEED to explain.  I should have dropped the notion of wanting eggs, but I did not.  I won't make that mistake so easily again.  Nothing we desire is so important that dropping the desire can surpass.  Power over a desire is everything.  EVERYTHING.

Could you please elaborate on the above?

      Wow, that's a great question.

I don't believe I've ever had that happen in a dream, and I'll tell you why: it seems that when we're in a dream state, our reality, realities, perceptions, etc all transcend our awake state. For instance, we can fly, travel through time, be other people, be other species, be other beings, be inanimate objects, posssess powers unknown to real life, and so on. It's therefore theoretical that much of language and other types of communication transcend reality also. I may be an ancient Shōgun scribe conversing with my lord, yet are we speaking archaic Japanese, or are we speaking modern English, or neither of the above?
Of course, your question also presents the possibility that a foreign form of language or other communication might be part of the dream's "plot" so to speak, and carries significance in itself wherein the dreamer's failure to understand is no accident.
Personally, I find this question of yours so interesting because of my life-long fascination with languages. I've never even considered the language aspect of dreaming; thanks for bringing this up.

I've heard French in my dreams. I guess I subconsciously remember some of it or it's just nonsense that just sounds French.  Most people are mute in my dreams, though. They mostly communicate through gestures, especially Trump. I don't know why he even shows up so much or why he can't talk but he always has some over the top gestures to communicate with.
