My cat shows no response to my farts. However, he can sniff out a mouse with ease.

I read that domestic house cats spend 30% of their grooming time trying to get rid of our smell.

Well then, the idiot cats rub up against our legs afterwards, obtaining a fresh layer of 'human stench'.

Probably, but they have no room to talk either. They're probably nose blind to their own stench though, like when I tell my dog she reeks and needs a bath and she'd look at me like "what? I smell fine, maybe you should take a bath instead!"

I don't know if they think it's a nasty smell, but we definitely have a smell than animals sense and often behave or take action because of.
