What level of legality are you searching for here?

All you need is a $30 broadcast antennae.  Fox is a broadcast channel....it's free.  You don't have to have paid TV service.  I use such an antennae and get 20 channels.  About half of them I have no interest in but still, you may pick up more than I do.  It's no rabbit ears....it's a flat panel about one foot square that you can place where it brings in the best reception.

This is the one I have:

    https://www.amazon.com/2018-VERSION-Digital-Antenna-High-Definition/dp/B0776LKFZ7/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1514347377&sr=1-4&keywords=tv+antenna

    O
ne more thing.....I would not use the "stick it anywhere" thing because during the course of a year you'll have to adjust it a couple of times.  I stuck it to a window and thought I would never get it off.  I would hate myself had I put it on a wall and messed up the paint.  I now have it leaning against the window pain behind the blinds and that's perfect.  My neighbors didn't know what it was and it took them about a year to ask.  I still laugh about that. 1.  Go to Wal-Mart.

    2. Ask them.

Honest, I am not being snarky.   I have a perfect set-up that I pretty much only paid about $15 for.

You may find something that screws into the back of your tv and you may only have to  buy that one program and not pay all that much.

    Good luck

I have Roku.  It works pretty good for me.  It can get expensive if you buy everything you want, but you choose what you want you have control, plus a lot of it is free. I'm sure none of the X-Files would be free. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at January 9, 2018 9:58 PM MST
