Do people ever hunt non-human primates for their meat?

  • I believe South-East Asian and African hunter-gatherers traditionally did.
If we include monkeys then South America can be included.
Nowadays it's illegal in order to prevent the extinctions of the species,
but it does still go on and wildlife officers have full time jobs to prevent and police it. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 31, 2017 4:56 PM MST

In Africa, some people even hunt the pygmy people for meat! :(
