Do people ever hunt non-human primates for their meat?

I believe South-East Asian and African hunter-gatherers traditionally did.
If we include monkeys then South America can be included.
Nowadays it's illegal in order to prevent the extinctions of the species,

Yes, in African countries it is common.

In Africa, some people even hunt the pygmy people for meat! :(
