Unless you grow your own veggies, you likely are eating fruits and veggies that have benefited from some fertilizer containing manure.

It's an excellent fertiliser used by many of our local farmers. It is used for 'organic' farming.

Manure is not meat from the animal -just the toxic waste from the animal which is nutritious for fruit and vegetable plants and adds good color and flavor for your fruits, salads and vegetable stew. This post was edited by Kittigate at January 4, 2018 8:27 AM MST

I don't know.  I know the organic foods are fertilized with manure.

I don't think most vegans think about this. If so, they've probably decided to become veganic vegans. No, I'm not making that up. :)

I do know a vegan or two that I'd consider a bit on the wacky side. Statistically speaking, I'm sure there are more carnivorous wackos. ;)

Sure, that is the 'proper' use for animal manure. They should not eat it though

Correction. You need pollen to fertilize plants. Manure is for fertilizing the ground under the plants. This post was edited by JakobA the unAmerican. at January 4, 2018 8:29 AM MST

Pollen fertilises the flowers to produce seeds. Ground fertilizer provides nutrients for plant growth such as phosphorous and nitrogen.

What is the improper use of manure?

Maybe I don't want to know.

I suppose a true vegan would have to grow their own food then. That way they know how it's being grown, but they have to make sure no wild animals take a dump in it.
