  • No, I tend to only compete when I know I have a chance of winning. I have never heard of that movie, but I know from title I would hate its guts. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at November 27, 2018 8:20 PM MST

It was released in 1969, the year of the first two Apollo moon landings and long before the Internet and Twitter. But I still can't believe that there are folks who never heard of it. Have you also never heard of, say, "Gone With The Wind," "King Kong," and "West Side Story?"

I can watch the whole thing without falling asleep. Even though it was a movie made around 1969, it was a movie way ahead of its time. This post was edited by Zack at January 6, 2018 10:31 PM MST

I take it that you are not a Science Fiction fan.

2001 is the most riveting SF movie I have seen.

Sorry, Pal, you're implying something based on the question asked. One can be a fan of science fiction and still have his or her own opinion of a science fiction work that differs from other's opinions. So your assumption that I am not a fan is incorrect. As such, the fact that you find it riveting is fine, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
