No, I'm not fond of gambling. It's like throwing your money away, flushing it down the toilet. If they give me free nickels, I'll play those, hahahaha (what did the bird say? cheap, cheap, cheap, that's me)
I have a couple of funny and bummer gambling stories. Here is my favorite: Way back in 1978, we took a family vacation to Lake Tahoe. Where I grew up, there were no lights, bells and whistles and games. Along the way, we ran into a place named CalNev. One part was for gambling and the other was a restaurant. Gambling has never been big in our family. My parents didn't partake in even playing the lottery. We were your average middle-class fam. My parents worked hard for us to have that status and didn't wobble off that path. They also weren't ones to leave us unattended. I don't know how I swung this but somehow I escaped their clutches and ran to the big flashing lights, bells and whistles. I had 30 cents in my pocket. It was change from the chocolate milkshake. (I remember this part clearly because we didn't get an allowance and it was really cool to have ANY money in my pocket. :)) I went to the first slot machine I saw, dropped the quarter and pulled the handle. DING! DING! DING! DING! JACKPOT!!!! It might not have been a 100 bucks but it sure felt like it was. I packed as many quarters as I could in all four of my pockets and hid behind my sister until we got to the car. Being really quiet in the back of the station wagon, we didn't say a word. Driving along for about a half hour, our parents found that very odd. We started to play the "I see" game. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I was bursting with excitement and dying to count all the quarters that machine with the bells, whistles, and lights had given me!!! Squirming around I took my pants off and dumped them out all over the back seat. SCREEEEECHHHHHH! It wasn't nearly as quick as I'm portraying but the repercussions to my pockets were. My dad pulled off at the next exit and we went back. We went back to CalNev because not only had I misbehaved by not staying where I was told but also did something illegal. I had to go to the manager and give every single won quarter back to CalNev, apologize to them and tell them why it was bad. My parents did let me keep the original quarter from the 30 cents change from the chocolate milkshake.
If there was even the slightest chance I would think gambling might be in my future, it was smashed right there and then. Luckily for all involved, it never has been. :) :)

I was 11 years old and shouldn't have been in the gambling section or gambling at all. I was allowed to have a milkshake on the restaurant side but by law, not on the gambling side. :P! I was far from 18. But that didn't stop me.... as a child and even as an adult, anything that sparkles grabs my attention! Big winks and smiles!

I'm so upset that I've never ever one any money gambling .....it's my bet though that I should put my money where my mouth is and risk blowing all my money away ....:(
Yes. When my grandfather passed away, I went up to Wisconsin for the funeral, but I was broke and couldn't really afford the trip. I went into one of his favorite casinos and played a slot based on one of his favorite shows. I won enough to pay for the trip. That's the only time I've ever won any real amount of cash. I kind of felt like he was there with me and made it happen.
Oh man, a hundred dollars, that is cute. If I had won big at a casino I would not be living in the same 86 room mansion with 315 acres I purchased when I was 23 I can tell you.
