Yes. Generally speaking, I prefer small-town life. There's more of a kinship among neighbors and I appreciate the quiet. On the other hand, I like having 24-hour stores and hospitals close by, so I will probably never really live too far out in the boondocks.
I don't like small town living because 'everybody' knows what 'everybody' else is doing. Eg. I went to visit our local Pentecostal church one Sunday then 'everybody' just assumed I had become a religious fanatic. Stuff like that.
Although I live in the second largest city in my state, I live on the very outskirts of it. It has all of the conveniences without any of the headaches associated with living downtown. Sort of the best of both worlds. Big city and small town.
