My rational self says no. That would have been discovered before now. People use olive oil on just about any external problem. It doesn't solve them, but people try because it's olive oil................or that's what the label says. Turns out a lot of the olive oil on the shelves is not fully olive oil.
It turns out that over 80% of product labeled "olive oil" is actually canola oil. There is one port in Italy where the oil is not checked carefully, and that is where canola is imported for the purpose.
Canola is the new name for rapeseed oil. They invented the name when they developed a variety of grain that was not actually poisonous.
