Not cheap, clever. There have been tonnes of scandals about the low quality of bottled water.

I drink filtered water at home. If I'm out and purchase water, I usually favor the taste of Dasani. If I'm traveling, buying for a party, or something, it's usually store-brand bottled water.
I don't buy bottled water. The water that comes out of my tap is better than any bottled water - pure and sweet. A lot of that bottled "water" is merely filtered municipal water (tap water). The water here comes direct from the snow/aquifers, then it flows into the rivers, which bring it down to cities and factories below.
New York City has some of the best tap water in the country, why would I pay for water in bottles? The only time I do that is if I'm on the road and forget to take water with me.
We use stainless steel bottles. We refill them with rainwater collected in a tank from the roof, triple-filtered. It's cheaper than buying water, and it prevents plastic bottles ending up in destructive places like fish's guts in the ocean.
My favorite is Publix spring water. I have a faucet filter and use filtered water for cooking. I also have filters on all the showers. The water here is actually good on paper. It smells to high heaven of chlorine so I don't drink it and don't shower in it.

We have a Pur filter in our water dispenser in the refrigerator. I never buy bottled water unless I am in a third world country know for unsafe drinking water.
