Thank you for your reply Addb and Happy Sunday to thee. I'm all for it when it corrects birth defects or someone is in a terrible accident that disfigures them. The actress Jennifer Gray (who was in the movie Dirty Dancing) had a nose job after the movie and she was unrecognizable. She lost her distinctive uniqueness and became just another cookie cutter pretty girl. She said she regretted it. When she looked in the mirror she saw a stranger looking back at her. Different strokes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I liked her original looks because she stood out from the crowd. Her nose certainly wasn't that bad. It just wasn't a cute little button nose like every other pretty girl has. I guess I'm belaboring the point. Apologies. I agree that if your self-esteem is in the toilet maybe plastic surgery will help. Although I think sometimes folks think losing weight or going under the knife will change their lives and it often doesn't because whatever needed repair wasn't their looks. :)
No,never ...I don't want false bits and peices....My mums in her early fifties and looks pretty good starkers ...no wonder my dad still likes her so much.....lol
We don't want to ingest GMO crap. Why would we want other "modified" crap injected or implanted in our bodies? I'm with you! Thank you for your reply D and Happy Sunday to thee! :)
For me, personally, I would not do elective surgery (I'm assuming you mean in the form of plastic surgery). I was fortunate enough to be given good features that have stood me in good stead so far and I believe in growing old as gracefully as I can.
No I am part of the generation that believed we should get to know and like ourselves as God made us. We all have different gifts and we can't all have perfect appearances or be beautiful or pretty or cute but we have other gifts we need to discover and develop which we never will if we think only in terms of mutilating ourselves to conform to some impossible or constantly changing notion of what is "beautiful" and "acceptable". We need to cultivate ourselves and our abilities and beauty from the inside.
