Teflon is a trademark name for a coating on pots and pans. Nothing sticks to it. I think it is some kind of plastic but I'm not really sure. Any non-stick pan probably is coated with Teflon. So what it means in terms of people is that no matter how crappy and disgusting they are and no matter what horrible things they do it all slides off them and no one cares.  They get away with murder. Did I answer your question og? :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 1, 2018 6:59 AM MST

Oh Teflon - thank you.  Which I won't cook on at all but which is pretty much accepted by most cooks almost universally now - it not that then some other manufactured substance that accomplishes the same thing.  I don't think they are good for our health but people do use them.  Well yes personality and the ability to inspire people often counts for a lot so that people care less about negative things - I agree.
